Account requirements

Setup account requirements

Account type
Requirements
SQL Server access account SQL Server securityadmin and dbcreator privileges are required to create SQL databases to allow EPM Pulse On-Premises Edition to work correctly.
Setup Account Local Administrator privileges are required to setup IIS site and Windows service for EPM Pulse. Also SQL Server Administrative privileges (sysadmin) are required.
Project Online Instance access account 1 Site Collection Administrator privilege is required to register online app.
Note: Online app is required to allow EPM Pulse service to get data from Project Online Instance.
Project Server 2013/2016 Instance access account 2 Site Collection Administrator with administrative permissions at PWA (administrators for PWA group).
SQL Server access account 2 SQL Server account with reader access to ProjectWebApp database (can be SQL Server account or Windows).
EPM Pulse Administrator Global EPM Pulse Admin account – windows or basic account.

Service account requirements

Account type
Requirements
IIS application pool account Must be a valid domain user account. Should be member of IIS_IUSRS local group on the Web role servers. Should have access to the Database. 
JobProcessor service account Must be a valid domain user account.
