Installation

Prerequisites

  • SharePoint 2010\2013 farm with Project Server 2010\2013

  • Secure Store service is configured and running
    :!: Secure Store key must be generated

  • Farm Administrator account should be added to the Site collection Administrators group on the PWA

  • Application Pool account should be added to the Administrators security group on the PWA
  1. Log in to Web Front End Server of the SharePoint Farm as Farm Administrator. Make sure that you have write permissions to folder with the installer files.
  2. Run FluentPro.Trending.Installer.exe and click Next
  3. Installer will perform Farm readiness / permissions test and click Next
  4. Select Install option. The installer will check if the product is installed, and if not, will offer selection of PWA where the product can be installed and click Next
  5. Select a PWA site collection where you plan to install FluentPro Trending to
    :!: Please note, every PWA requires separate license
  6. Installer will check required permissions for installation on the selected PWA. If all permissions are OK, click Next
  7. Read EULA (End-User License Agreement) and accept it by checking the I accept the terms in the Licence Agreement checkbox. Click Next
  8. Provide user name and password of the account that has read access to reporting database of the PWA, click Test Connection to verify credentials and click Next to proceed
    :!: Both Windows accounts and SQL accounts supported. To use Windows account mark the Use as Windows Credentials checkbox
  9. Provide the SQL Server instance name for a trending database and click Next
  10. Provide the name of existing database where trending data will be stored and click Next.
    :!: By default the reporting database of the selected PWA will be used.
  11. Provide user name and password of the account to access Trending database, click Test Connection to verify credentials and click Next to proceed
    :!: Both Windows accounts and SQL accounts supported. To use Windows account mark the Use as Windows Credentials checkbox
  12. Installation will start
  13. After successful installation the final screen will be displayed.
  14. If you experienced any issues during installation, please check the log file (it is located in same folder where the EXE file is located)
  15. FluentPro Trending is successfully installed.

  2. Run FluentPro.Trending.Installer.exe and click Next
  3. Installer will perform Farm readiness / permissions test
  4. When test is done select Upgrade / Repair option and click Next
  5. Select a PWA site collection that needs to be upgraded or repaired and click Next
  6. Installer will check required permissions for installation on the selected PWA. If all permissions are OK, click Next
  7. Provide user name and password of the account that has read access to reporting database of the PWA, click Test Connection to verify credentials and click Next to proceed

  8. Provide the SQL Server instance name for a trending database and click Next
  9. Provide the name of existing database where trending data is stored and click Next.
  10. Provide user name and password of the account to access Trending database, click Test Connection to verify credentials and click Next to proceed

  11. Repairing will start
  12. After successful repairing the final screen will be displayed.
  13. Click Close to complete
  1. Log in to Web Front End Server of the SharePoint Farm as Farm Administrator. Make sure that you have write permissions to folder with the installer files.
  2. Run FluentPro.Trending.Installer.exe and click Next
  3. Installer will perform Farm readiness / permissions test and click Next
  4. Select Uninstall option and click Next
  5. Select a PWA site collection to uninstall FluentPro Trending from and click Next
  6. Installer will check required permissions for uninstallation from the selected PWA. If all permissions are OK, click Next
  7. After successful uninstallation the final screen will be displayed.
  8. Click Close to proceed.
